An article, dated 5th May 2023 stated: “A leaked Google memo ignites debate as it claims open-source AI could outpace tech giants’ proprietary models, raising concerns about OpenAI and Google’s future as they develop closed AI models.“
That statement appears to get more and more relevant if you see local/open source LLMs popping up lately. We defintely have to keep an eye on these local LLMs vs the “giants” (Google/Microsoft & OpenAI).
